Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Meithiran Learning Community ("MLC", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

MLC provides a learning platform connecting learners with mentors through structured programs. Our services include:

• Mentor-led cohort programs (maximum 5 learners per cohort)
• Applied Experience Projects with partner companies
• Certificates upon successful completion
• Learning management and portal access

3. The Foundational Law

MLC operates under an immutable Foundational Law that governs key aspects of our operations. These include:

• Revenue split: 21/35/15/12/10/7 (Community Building/Mentors/Operations/Technology/Marketing/Infrastructure)
• Maximum cohort size: 5 learners
• Mentor share: 35% of program fees
• GST: 18% inclusive in all pricing

These rules cannot be changed and represent our permanent commitment to fair operations.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. Program Enrollment

Program enrollment is subject to:

• Availability of cohort slots
• Payment confirmation
• Meeting any program prerequisites

Programs may have specific terms that supplement these general terms.

6. Payments and Refunds

All fees are communicated before enrollment and include 18% GST. Payment is currently processed offline via bank transfer or UPI. Refund policies are program-specific and will be communicated before enrollment.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Platform Content

All content on the MLC platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by MLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 Applied Experience Projects

For AEP projects: Partners own all project deliverables and intellectual property. Learners retain the right to include work in portfolios without proprietary details.

7.3 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant MLC a license to use it for platform operations.

8. Code of Conduct

Users must:

• Treat all community members with respect
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
• Not share confidential program materials without authorization
• Complete programs honestly without plagiarism
• Respect intellectual property rights

9. Certificates

Certificates are issued only upon mentor certification of competence. MLC reserves the right to revoke certificates in cases of fraud or misconduct.

10. Limitation of Liability

MLC provides services "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.

11. Termination

MLC may terminate or suspend accounts for violation of these terms. Users may terminate their accounts by contacting us. Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms. Note that Foundational Law provisions are immutable and cannot be changed.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu.
